About New Art Theatre & Advice to the Players
New Art Theatre / Living Classics Series continues a 25 year tradition of producing the world’s great plays under the artistic direction of Robert Shea. The Living Classics Series, begun in 1983, produced over 54 ancient and contemporary classics that served student and public audiences alike. Reorganized in 1996 as New Art Theatre at the New Hampshire Institute of Art, a new generation of classical productions and daring “new works” were added to the company repertoire. A complete listing and reviews of these acclaimed works can be found on the New Art Theatre website at www.newarttheatre.com.
Advice To The Players was founded in 1999 with the mission to bring the language, action and passion of Shakespeare’s plays to life in New Hampshire’s north country. Through a unique combination of theatre professionals, exuberant teens and enthusiastic community members, Advice To The Players successfully offers a number of vibrant, accessible and understandable Shakespeare productions that have been nominated for and won multiple New Hampshire Theatre Awards. www.advicetotheplayers.org
